the October Revolution
It is 6:24 PM Wednesday NIGHT here were the ghosts look for a comfortable resting place.
Carol and I found out today that the fellow who can install floor boards can't do it till Next week so we have a whole week of being unsettled-no place to hide-no where to sit and dream of a better future. So I won't be able to post in my other online diaries and post any videos for another seven to eight days. My subscribers are going to think I have died and gone to Heaven. I can't post anything on this lap top because I do not KNOW how. All I know what to do on this old lap top is write silent words in my LJ online diary Crookedfingers-nothing else so I will remain for another week a missing person.
I have been wandering the empty upstairs looking at the new plastic floors. Carol cleaned all day-she has to go to bed every night knowing she accomplished something productive-Carol is not one to sit all day wondering what went wrong and how can we restore us back to a state of Paradise.
I got out to read maybe in the month of July 2023, 'October: The Story Of The Russian Revolution' by China Mieville. I also want to get back into reading soon, 'Divine Days' A Novel by Leon Forrest-this novel is 1140 Pages and I am on Page 583-I was enjoying reading 'Divine Days' and would like to finish reading it either this month or sometime this Year. I also want to finish reading these two books soon-'Pale Fire' fiction by Vladimir Nabokov and 'My Red Heaven' a novel by Lance Olsen. Today in my wanderings I have been looking at these two BOOKS-'A People's Tragedy: The Russian Revolution 1891-1924' by Orlando Figes and 'Revolutionary Russia 1891-1991: A History' by Orlando Figes. I can also look at this book in my spare TIME, 'Red Victory: A History Of The Russian Civil War' by W. Bruce Lincoln. The other night I finished reading, 'Conquered City' a novel by Victor Serge Translated from the French and with a foreword by Richard Greeman. I got out today to read soon if not this week, 'The House Of Government: A Saga Of Russian Revolution' by Yuri Slezkine.
In the mornings I have been reading with much spiritual delight-'The Love of Christ: Expository Sermons on Verses from the Song of Solomon chapters 4-6' by Richard Sibbes. I am also enjoying reading for devotions-prayer-contemplation, 'A Hermeneutic Of Wisdom: Recovering The Formative Agency Of Scripture' by J. De Waal Dryden. I am also reading from Volume 5 THE WORKS OF WILLIAM PERKINS on the Apostle's Creed for morning worship.
