The Roots of Terrorism
11th-Sep-2020 10:40 pm
It is 10:25 PM Friday night here where the birds fly south during the Winter. I am tired and plan to go to bed very soon. This afternoon when Carol got back from having breakfast with old girlfriends we decided to Staple Office Supply store so I could paper and then while out visit thrift stores in search of used books to ADD to our library. I found these used books this afternoon-

'The Wall of the Sky, the Wall of the Eye' seven stories by Jonathan Lethem

'Twilight' a novel by William Gay

'Good Muslim, Bad Muslim: America, The Cold War, And The Roots Of Terror' by Mahmood Mamdani

'The Apocalypse in English Renaissance thought and literature' Editors C. A. Patrides & Joseph Wittreich

'Sarah: The Life Of Sarah Bernadt' (Jewish Lives) biography by Robert Gottlieb

'The Muralist' a novel by B. A. Shapiro

'Selected Journals and Other Writings' By John James Audubon Edited by Ben Forkner

'The American Revolution: Writings from the War of Independence' [The Library of America]

When we got home from running around I mowed the front lawn. Caleb called around 5 o'clock PM and invited us over for Mexican food dinner. So Carol and I drove down the street to Caleb and Emily's for supper. We were home by 7:33 PM and watched PBS News. Carol went to bed early and I have been writing in my paper diary and reading some more of the novel, 'Baron Wenckheim's Homecoming' a novel by Laszlo Krasznahorkai Translated from the Hungarian by Ottilie Mulzet.
