Caleb our oldest son called earlier to tell me they will be by to pick me up around 7:30 PM. We are driving to Grand Rapids to see in concert the heavy rock band Russian Circles.
I am have been sitting in our dining room drinking tea and falling asleep. I need to wake-up! I am always fighting to stay awake. I understand now why old men are always dozing someplace. We like falling asleep because existence is so exhausting. I have been looking at this evening one of the used books I bought home today from the Book Nook, 'Maigret And The Pickpocket' by Simenon. Well I will close to feel dead tired. Where is the fire of youth? Where is the zeal for life? I need to get moving!
Tomorrow I will watch college football and read my books. Well I will close to feel wasted as usual. Do not know what time I will get to bed tonight. I hope to be home by 11:30 PM tonight. I am praying for a safe journey this evening to Grand Rapids. I am not ready to depart this life just yet. There is work to be done.
