a child of Western Civilization

It is 6:41 PM Saturday evening here in west Michigan. Carol is reading a book to Jack. Andy is playing with Marn and Lou. The kids will soon be going to bed. It has been a long and very busy day for all of us! I went to bed last night early and I am sure tonight we will be going to bed early once again.

I got up this morning around 6:45 AM and when I came upstairs Carol, Beth, and Marn were already up. Soon Lou, Jack, and Andy got up.

This morning we had family pictures taken and afterwards we all met at Caleb and Emily's for food and drink.

I could write more but I am too tired. I have only read today off and on from a novel titled, 'Abel And Cain' by Gregor Von Rezzori Translated from the German by David Dollenmayer, Joachim Neugroschel, and Marshall Yarbrough.

Tomorrow morning everyone plans to go to Lake Michigan and swim. Carol and I will stay home and recollect ourselves. Carol plans to go to church in the morning.

I suppose I will close to face the coming darkness.
