the Woman's Party

It is in the death flow 1:55 PM Wednesday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is another cold sunny early Spring day. There is still a layer of ice on the birdbath. Do not know when we will experience warm weather this Spring.

I got up this morning around 6:20 AM. When I came up from the lower level I found Carol up reading her Bible. She had gotten up around 5 o'clock AM and right now she is taking a nap.

This morning Carol, Josie and I went out for breakfast. After breakfast we came home and I left to visit thrift stores in search of used books to ADD to our library. I found these used books today-

'Tales Of All Countries-Second Series' by Anthony Trollope

'Major Works-Selected Philosophical Writings' by Ludwig Wittgenstein

'American Utopias' by Charles Nordhoff originally published in 1875

'The Congressman Who Loved Flaubert' 21 Stories And Novellas by Ward Just

'On the Origins of War and the Preservation of Peace' by Donald Kagan

'Frederick The Great' a biography by David Fraser

'Maigret and the Hotel Majestic' a mystery by Georges Simenon Translated from the French by Caroline Hillier

'The Lazarus Project' a novel by Aleksaudar Hemon

'England Under The Stuarts' by George Macaulay Trevelyan

'Still Life With Woodpecker' a novel by Tom Robbins

'Dark Continent: Europe's Century' by Mark Mazower

'Journey Into Cyprus' travel memoir by Colin Thubron

'The Dictator's-Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Russia' by Richard Overy

After visiting thrift stores I came home to rest. I am still sick with a cold and just want to sit and feel sick. This afternoon I have been reading from a book titled, 'Young Radicals In The War For American Ideals' by Jeremy McCarter. Yesterday I mainly read from a book titled, 'The Marshall Plan: Dawn Of The Cold War' by Benn Steil.

Well I will close to feel sick with a bad early Spring cold.
