It is late and I will soon be going to bed. I thought before I call it a day that I would record the used books I brought home from the Book Nook the local used books store for personal history sake-
'The Marsh Arabs' Middle East history by Wilfred Thesiger
'My Mother-In-Law Drinks' Crime fiction by Diego De Silva translated from the Italian by Anthony Shugar
'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes & Other Lessons from the Crematory' memoir by Caitlin Doughty
'Rising from the Plains' Geology by John McPhee
'Assembling California' Geology by John McPhee
'Basin and Range' Geology by John McPhee
'Old Man River: The Mississippi River In North American History' by Paul Schneider
'The Sistine Chapel: The Art, the History, and the Restoration' Text by Carlo Pietrangeli and other writers
I got home from the Book Nook around 1:20 PM. I found my wife home from her errands when I got home. I ate lunch and then wrote in my paper diary. Carol went to bed to take a nap since she had to work tonight. I spent the day wandering my cell and waiting for night to fall. I do not remember right now reading anything this afternoon. My mind suddenly went blank. Now I remember what I last read, 'Masscult And Midcult: Essays Against The American Grain' by Dwight MacDonald.
I suppose I will close to face what comes next. There is no way out so I might as well kiss the rod.
