It is now in the flow of decay 3:42 PM late Monday afternoon. I have been struggling since I got home from the local library used books store to stay awake. In my old age all I want to do is close my eyes and get lost inside my brain. I am always listening to my brain. I am always thinking. I need to hear a silent brain. A brain filled with holy silence.
Carol has not gotten up yet to face existence. She said this morning she would be up around 2 o'clock PM. My wife needs her rest in her old age.
The Book Nook today was not busy so I wandered the store and read from a big book titled, 'The Great War, America And The Remaking Of The Global Order, 1916-1931' by Adam Tooze. I brought home these used books from the Book Nook-
'The Beauty Of The Cross: The Passion Of Christ In Theology And The Arts-From The Catacombs To The Eve Of The Renaissance' by Richard Viladesau
'J' a novel by Howard Jacobson
'A London Year: 365 Days of City London in Diaries, Journals, and Letters' Compiled by Travis Elborough & Nick Rennison
I have been reading since I got home from a autobiography titled, 'The Scarlet Tree' by Osbert Sitwell. I plan to drift through the rest of this day. Go find someplace quiet and close my eyes and see what is going on inside my old brain.
