life lay bare before God's eye

It is 1:56 PM Monday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is snowing rain ice today. A cold wet gray afternoon. As I contemplate the weather this afternoon I just want to close my eyes and doze. I really do not feel up to writing in my online diaries today. But I write because in the end it is all painless.

This morning I volunteered at the local library used books store The Book Nook. When I got home from the Book Nook I ate lunch and wrote in my paper diary. Carol went to bed because she works the next couple of nights.

The Book Nook was not busy so I read and wandered the store till my replacement showed up. At the Book Nook I read from the novel, 'Can You Forgive Her?' by Anthony Trollope. I brought home from the Book Nook these two books to add to our library-

'William Pitt The Younger' a biography by William Hague

'Portrait: The Life Of Thomas Eakins' biography by William S. McFeely

I plan to do nothing the rest of the day. I am extremely sleepy right now.

Last night my wife and I watched television. We went to bed early and read late into the night. I read last night from a book titled, 'Memoirs Of My Nervous Illness' by Daniel Paul Schreber Translated and Edited by Ida Maccalpine.

I got up this morning around 6:30 AM and found Carol having morning devotions in the living room. I made us oatmeal for breakfast. I also made a fresh pot of coffee this morning. After breakfast I wrote in my paper diary and did nothing till I left for the Book Nook.

I will close since I am falling asleep.
