This morning I left for the Herrick District Public Library used books store The Book Nook around 9:45 AM. Today the Book Nook was super quiet so I read for three hours from a book titled, 'Heaven and Earth in the Gospel of Matthew' by Jonathan T. Pennington. I brought home from the Book Nook these three used books to ADD to our library-
'-And I Worked of the Writer's Trade Chapters of Literary History 1918-1978' memoir by Malcolm Cowley
'The Last American Aristocrat-The Biography of Ambassador David E. Bruce' by Nelson D. Lankford
'Duveen-A Life In Art' biography by Meryle Secrest
When I got home from the Book Nook Carol had just gotten home from a doctor's appointment (she got her yearly physical) and going grocery shopping. I go next month for my yearly physical. We got to stay in shape for the world to come.
I ate lunch and then I left to go for a walk at VanRaalte Farm County Park.
After I walked around the woods and wet swamp land I headed home. Before coming home I stopped at a local thrift store to look at their used books and found these used books for our library-
'Lakota Woman' autobiography by Mary Crow Dog With Richard Erdoes
'The Viking Book of Aphorisms-A Personal Selection' by W.H. Auden & Louis Kronenberger
'Generation of Swine-Gonzo Papers Volume 2 Tales of Shame And Degradation In The 80's' by Hunter S. Thompson
'The Outermost House' A Modern classic about a year of life on the Great Beach of Cape Cod by Henry Beston
'All Things Reconsidered-My Birding Adventures' by Roger Tory Peterson Edited By Bill Thompson III
I have been this evening done nothing worth recording. I looked for books down in the lower level earlier. For example I knew I had other biographies by Meryle Secrest so I went searching for them and I found them! A miracle! I have these two other biographies by Secrest-
'Somewhere For Me: A Biography Of Richard Rodgers' by Meryle Secrest
'Frank Loyd Wright: A Biography' by Meryle Secrest
Well Carol is gone and I will close to drift through the evening hours. Tomorrow it is suppose to rain.
