the art of memory

It is in the flow of redemptive history 1:50 PM Monday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a cold gray snowy day. As I sit here I can hear roofers putting a new roof our one of our neighbors homes. That is going to cost them a pretty penny.

I just got back from the library used bookstore The Book Nook. I now volunteer at the Book Nook Mondays and Fridays from 10 AM till 1 PM. It was not bad today at the Book Nook. I had a nice talk with a fellow that I have talked to in the Past. I read from a book titled, 'The Making of the President 1964' A narrative history of American politics in action by Theodore H. White. I bought home from the Book Nook these used books-

'The Art of Memory' nonfiction by Frances A. Yates

'The Wonder' a novel by Emma Donoghue

'The Making of the President 1964' by Theodore H. White

'Einstein lived here' biography by Abraham Pais

When I got home this afternoon I found the house still because Carol had gone to bed to sleep. She works the next couple of nights.

This morning when I got up we left soon afterward to have breakfast. It is Carol's birthday and we celebrate her birthday by going out for breakfast.

So the day has gone by normal. I am tired so I will close to drift and wait it out. There is no way of escape.
