intellectual history of Jacksonian democracy

It is 7:49 PM Saturday night. There is a college football game on the TV as I type these words.

Late this afternoon Carol and I left to do errands. While we were out we stopped at two thrift stores so I could look at their used books. I found these used books today to add to our library-

'Forgetfulness' a novel by Ward Just

'Maigret's Pipe' Seventeen Stories by Georges Simenon Translated from the French by Jean Stewart

'House Of Meetings' a novel by Martin Amis

'Paradise' a novel by Elena Castedo

'Crazy Horse: The Strange Man of the Oglalas' biography by Mari Sandoz

'Death And Restoration' crime novel by Iain Pears

'An Outcast of the Islands' a novel by Joseph Conrad

'Charles Fort: The Man Who Invented The Supernatural' biography by Jim Steinmeyer

'Chaplin: His Life And Art' biography by David Robinson

'Remembering Kennedy: One Brief Shining Moment' biography by William Manchester

I will close to watch the college football game. Tomorrow is a Sunday. Existence keeps flowing by.
