the nakedness and spiritual poverty demanded for perfection

It is 5:29 PM early Tuesday evening here in West Michigan. It has been a cold rainy dark ugly late Autumn day. I do not know where this day has gone. This day has refused to acknowledge me.

It has been a long day, but it still keeps going. I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. I got up made a pot of coffee and made myself some oatmeal for breakfast. I ate my oatmeal messing with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then read some more 'The Ascent Of Mount Carmel' by St John of the Cross. I got a phone call from the lady who is charge of the volunteers at our local library used books store The Book Nook asking if I could cover for someone today from 1 o'clock PM till 4 o'clock PM. I said Sure. So I did that this afternoon. Only one individual came in the store this afternoon and bought one used book. While at the Book Nook I wandered the store and read some more of the novel 'Gravity's Rainbow' by Thomas Pynchon. I brought home from the Book Nook for my free book for volunteering a novel titled, 'I AM NO ONE' by Patrick Flanery.

In the mail this afternoon I received a bunch of new books I had ordered from Amazon-

'Schlesinger The Imperial Historian' a biography by Richard Aldous

'Istanbul: Memories And The City' With A New Introduction By The Author by Orhan Pamuk DELUXE EDITION hardback

'The Shadow in the Garden: A Biographer's Tale' personal memoir by James Atlas

'Sanctification' by Michael Allen [New Studies In Dogmatics]

So this day has gone by. Carol is on her way home. She is up in the sky somewhere flying above the earth. If all goes well she ought to be home late tonight. We never know when death will strike.

I am tired so I will close to face it.
