It is 9:08 PM Saturday night. It is burning hot! Everything is still outside. We are expecting rain tonight. It is suppose to get down in the 70's tomorrow. Right now it is 83 degrees inside our home.
Tonight I made a video for my BookTube channel sharing my thoughts on Jude verse 6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day".
I mentioned the books listed below in my video. Many years ago I taught an Adult Sunday School going through First Peter, Second Peter, and Jude.
'Exposition upon the Whole Epistle of Jude' found in Volume 4 'The Works Of William Perkins' Edited By J. Stephen Yuille (Reformed Heritage Books)
'Exposition Of The Epistle Of Jude' by the Rev. William Jenkyn Puritan reprint first published in 1652 this reprint published by James & Klock 1976 extremely rare
'Second Peter And Jude: An Expositional Commentary' by D. Edmond Hiebert
'Jude, 2 Peter' [50 World Biblical Commentary] by Richard J. Bauckham
'Theology of the New Testament: A Canonical And Synthetic Approach' by Frank Thielman
Not much else going on tonight. I have been reading William Perkins and sweating. Tomorrow is a Sunday. Existence keeps decaying.
" Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:
Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day." Jude 1-6
