a refuge in the Age of Anxiety

It is in the death flow 4:43 PM Friday late afternoon. Another day has gone by without telling me exactly why. The sun came out this afternoon, but it was cold. The trees are losing all their leaves. By the middle of November everything will be brown-the color of decay.

The kitchen builders left around 2:30 PM. The next job they have to do is lay the new kitchen floor. We have a stove hooked up so I am able to cook food now. Right now Carol is sleeping because she works the next three nights.

I mowed our front lawn this afternoon. That is was a blast! I mowed the lawn to get off the lawn all the dead tree leaves.

We found out this afternoon Carol's car should be fixed this coming Monday. It is going to cost us $500.00 dollars to have Carol's car fixed. Money flies out of this house like big black crows.

I have been reading this afternoon a book titled, "The Village: A History Of Greenwich Village" by John Strausbaugh. I am really enjoying this book.

I do not know what I will do tonight to kill time. Tomorrow I once again volunteer at the Herrick District Public Library used books store from 10 AM till 1 PM. I might watch college football tomorrow afternoon.

I am thinking about making a video tonight for my BookTube channel. Well I will close to drift into thick darkness.
