a safe haven from the conventions of the eastern establishment

It is in the death flow 4:40 PM Thursday late afternoon or early evening. I had a normal day. I thank the Lord for normal days in a world that is no longer normal. Is it normal for police to kill young black men in cold blood.

I did not leave my cell today. I thought about going someplace, but could not come up with a good reason. I will leave the house tomorrow morning to check out a used books sale here in town.

What did I do today? I basically read my books and wrote in my paper diary. I laid down for a nap and was up around 3:37 PM. Carol got up the same time I did and then left to get her hair cut.

What did I attempt to read this afternoon? I read from these books this afternoon-

"1982, Janine" a novel by Alasdair Gray

"The Glory Of The Empire A Novel, A History" by Jean D'Ormesson

"Brothers Of The Quill: Oliver Goldsmith in Grub Street" biography by Norma Clarke

"The Bohemians: Mark Twain and the San Francisco Writers Who Reinvented American Literature" biography by Ben Tarnoff

I have no plans for the evening hours. The night will come. Existence keeps zooming by.

We got in the mail our Summer tax bill. I will next go outside to water plants.
