the American Empire

It is now in the flow of divine providence 3:35 PM afternoon Eastern Standard time Thursday. This afternoon the sun is shining, but cold. It is suppose to snow next week Tuesday.

This afternoon I decided to get out and visit thrift stores in search of used books to add to our library. I found these used books today-

"Nickel Mountain" a novel by John Gardner (I already have this novel, but my edition is an old paperback this edition is a hardback with nice illustrations with slip cover.)

"Sunnyside" a novel by Glen David Gold (I recently bought used Gold's novel "Carter Beats The Devil".)

"A Case of Curiosities" a novel by Allen Kurzweil

"Stendhal" a biography by Wallace Fowlie

"In the Fall" a novel by Jeffrey Lent

"Inherent Vice" a novel by Thomas Pynchon

"Man In The Modern World: Selected Essays from Man Stands Alone and On Living in a Revolution" by Julian Huxley

"Meredith" a biography by Siegfried Sassoon

"Reflections on a Marine Venus" travel memoir by Lawrence Durrell

"The Last Laugh" essays by S.J. Perelman

"The Third Reich" a novel by Roberto Bolano [Translated From The Spanish By Natasha Wimmer]

"The Emperor's Body" a novel by Peter Brooks

After visiting thrift stores I came home to go through the rest of this day. I will close to write in my paper diary and recover from the ordeal of existence. God is still on His throne.
