I saw this afternoon under our bird feeder a chipmunk which also means Spring is coming.
I have had a normal day. I have been sleepy all day so I have not done much. I have been basically wandering my cell, writing in my paper diary and reading a book titled, "On Prayer" by Archimandrite Sophrony.
This morning before going out with my wife to walk and go grocery shopping I read one of my newest books titled, "The Apostle Paul and the Christian Life: Ethical and Missional Implications of the New Perspective" Edited by Scot McKnight and Joseph B. Modica. This morning in this book I was reading an essay titled, 'The New Perspective and the Christian Life in Paul's Letter to the Ephesians' essay by Lynn H. Cohick.
Carol is sleeping right now because she works tonight. This week she has to work four nights in a row.
There is nothing pressing on my mind this afternoon. I do not know what I will do this evening. I stopped watching television during the evening hours when Carol is not home. I do watch with my wife TV shows she has me tape for her when she is working. I need to get back into reading the books I was reading last week. "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one of the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would" Galatians 5:16,17.
I suppose I will close since I have nothing more to report. Existence keeps flowing by.
"[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
[19] And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel" Ephesians 6:10-19
