maybe what is not thriving in the Christian World is certain type of Reformed Presbyterianism

It is in the snow flow 1:29 PM Monday afternoon. I have been reading this afternoon Volume 1 "Baxter's Practical Works" A CHRISTIAN DIRECTORY by Richard Baxter.

I want to write down something that I said to my wife yesterday before I forget it. My wife went to a program at her church on reviving the church called fanning the flames this weekend. I won't go into details, because it would take too long to explain. Carol said that the main speaker at this church event told the congregation that each year in American thousands of churches (Protestant churches) close. People are leaving Protestant churches and therefore churches are closing their doors (Protestant churches). This fellow is a part of a group of men who started a program in the Presbyterian Church in America to restore the spiritual foundation of churches that are in a state of spiritual declension in hopes that these churches will become spiritually healthy once these churches follow their program.

What came to my mind is that maybe Protestant churches/ Presbyterian Church in America churches are closing the doors but is that true with all the churches outside of the Protestant Christian tradition? Maybe the Catholic Church is thriving or maybe the Greek Orthodox Church is thriving throughout the world/America. The Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church were around a long time before Protestantism/the Protestant Reformation. Maybe what is not thriving in the Christian World is a certain type of Reformed Presbyterian Theology/Spirituality.

The Lord is gathering His people throughout the entire Christian World and they are all not Reformed or Presbyterian. "And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd" John 10:16.

Also what does a spiritually healthy church look like? Some folks in the Christian Church world might have a different idea of what a spiritually healthy church looks like. It is all subjective to me this notion of a spiritually healthy church. Can a program bring about a spiritually healthy church? It is mysterious to me.

"[1] Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
[2] I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
[3] And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
[4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
[5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent." Rev. 2:1-5
