contemplativeI had a normal afternoon today. I did not go anywhere this afternoon. I mainly wandered my cell and read my books on Mystical Theology. Existence keeps speeding by!
I am mainly writing to mention the books I brought home this afternoon from the library used books store and also received in the mail a used book.
I brought home from the library book nook these two used books-
"Nineteen Eight-Four" a novel by George Orwell With A New Foreword By Thomas Pynchon Centennial Edition
"Bring Up The Bodies" a novel by Hilary Mantel
I received in the mail this afternoon this used book, "The Quiddity of Will Self" a novel by Sam Mills.
This evening I am not in the mood to watch any more college football or television so I have been reading these books before going to bed-
"Roads To Zion Mourn" by Hugh Of Balma a treatise found in the volume "Cathusian Spirituality" [The Classics Of Western Spirituality]
"Holy Wisdom Or Directions for the Prayer of Contemplation" by Father Baker
"The Pastor As Public Theologian: Reclaiming a Lost Vision" by Kevin J. Vanhoozer & Owen Strachan
Not much else to report. My wife works tomorrow from 8 o'clock AM till 4 o'clock PM. Our lives are speeding by!
