Carol left for work around 7:50 PM. I am not in the mood to watch television this evening. I plan to go to bed early tonight. Earlier this evening I fell asleep sitting in an easy chair in our living room. It is such a blessing to sit in silence and gently drift off to sleep with no bombs dropping or gun fire off in the distance.
I really did not read much today due to being super tired. I must have slept poorly the last couple of nights. I have found myself lately being emotionally in turmoil. There is so much sadness in the world these days. For me it is hard to shut out all the pain being experienced in the world.
I suppose I do not have much else to report. Tomorrow I once again volunteer at the library book nook from 10 AM till 1 PM. I will watch college football tomorrow afternoon. The day will will go by.
I did read this evening from these books-
Bible King James Version and the New King James Version
"Psalms 1-50" Old Testament VII [Ancient Christian Commentary On Scripture] Edited By Craig A. Blaising & Carmen S. Hardin
"Commentary On The Psalms" 2 Volumes in 1 by J. J. Stewart Perowne
I will close to drift through into the darkness.
"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." Psalm 4:4 (KJV)
"Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still." Psalm 4:4 (NKJV)
"Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath" Ephesians 4:26 (KJV)
