a republic on the verge of imperial corruption
It is in the Flow of Time in the vast cosmos 12:57 PM Friday afternoon. I left the house to visit a local thrift store called Bibles For Mexico and after visiting this thrift shop I drove to a gas station and filled my old Dodge van with gas. I have been driving this old van going on 26 years. We bought this van when our kids were in Middle School. Carol has her own car and I have this old van to drive around town. I keep good care of this van. I am attached to this van because I drove it to work when I was in the American work force. I only drive the van around town, but would never drive it long distance because I am afraid it would die on me someplace deserted and deadly.
I found these used books this morning to ADD to our library-
"The Civilization Of The Middle Ages" by Norman F. Cantor
"Prozac Nation: A Memoir" by Elizabeth Wurtzel
"Slavery's Constitution: From Revolution To Ratification" by David Waldstreicher
"Empires Of Trust: How Rome Built-and America Is Building-a New World" by Thomas F. Madden
"People of the Deer" (is the lyrical portrait of a beautiful, and endangered society, and a mournful reproach to those who would manipulate and destroy indigenous cultures anywhere in the world) by Farley Mowat
"Knowing The Love Of God: Lessons From A Spiritual Master" by Fr. Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P. (a collection of Garrigou-Lagrange's retreat conferences as he preached them to his fellow Dominicans)
I received in the mail this afternoon a used book titled, "Offshore" A Novel by Penelope Fitzgerald.
I will close to drift. Existence keeps speeding by!
