Baby Margaret has not been able to come home yet due to her bilirubin being high. Also baby Margaret has a heart murmur. Due to Labor Day weekend there is no heart specialist around to check on Margaret. So we wait and see what the future holds for baby Margaret.

I am right now feeling totally wasted and do not know why. I feel bloated which is strange since I have hardly eaten anything today. I would go to bed but it is too early. So in the end I just suffer till I can go to bed.
I would write more but I am completely blown out. There is always tomorrow. Of course I could die anytime.
At the book nook today I read from this memoir, "Forbidden Territory And Realms of Strife" by Juan Goytisolo. I bought home from the book nook one used book titled, "Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage" Stories by Alice Munro.
Jaundice
Babies with jaundice have a yellowish color to their skin and eyes. Jaundice occurs when the liver is too immature or sick to remove a waste product called bilirubin from the blood. Bilirubin is formed when old red blood cells break down. Jaundice is especially common in premature babies and in babies who have blood type incompatibilities with their mothers (such as Rh disease, ABO incompatibility or G6PD disease).
Jaundice itself does not usually cause harm to a baby. But if the bilirubin level gets too high, it can cause more serious problems. For this reason, the baby's bilirubin level is checked frequently. If it gets too high, he is treated with special blue lights (phototherapy) that help the body break down and eliminate bilirubin.
