Caleb, Emily, and Josie showed up here around 12:30 PM for lunch and to visit. Little Josie Joy is growing fast. She will soon be one years old.
I have no plans for the evening hours. I have been up since 4:48 AM this morning. I have no plans for the rest of the week. My wife works Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I will seek to live in a state of contemplative/listening in silence as existence flows by.
All I have attempted to read today is from a book titled, "Tending the Holy: Spiritual Direction Across Traditions" Edited By Norvene Vest. I have been reading this evening chapter 7, 'Freedom to Souls Spiritual Accompaniment According to the Carmelite Tradition by Michael Plattig, O. Carm.. I would say that due to me reading for 45 years the 'Collected Writings of St. John of the Cross' that Carmelite Spirituality has had an impact on my idea of what is the Christian life (joined with the Pauline Epistles/New Testament).
Not much else to report this evening so I will close to rest.
"Therefore be imitators of God as dear children" Ephesians 5:1
"Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ" 1 Corinth. 11:1
