I have been up since 4:30 AM. These days because I stopped taking sleeping aids I do not sleep, so I got up and read the Holy Bible and wrote in my paper diary. I also read from these books this morning for worship.
"The Aims of Jesus" by Ben F. Meyers
"'Return to Me' A Biblical Theology of Repentance" by Mark J. Boda
"Luke" New Testament III Reformation Commentary On Scripture
"Early Christian Mission" Volume 1 "Jesus And The Twelve" by Eckhard J. Schuabel
"Luke 1:1-9:50" (Baker Exegetical Commentary On The New Testament" by Darrell L. Bock
"Dictionary for Theological Interpretation of the Bible" General Editor Kevin J. VanHoozer
After reading my devotional books I listened to Yob and Bell Witch on my portable CD player. Carol got up at 8 o'clock AM and I made a pot of oatmeal. So existence keeps decaying. I confess along with the apostle Paul (The Word of God) "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heaven" 2 Corinth. 5:1.
Today I plan to lay low and heal from my gallbladder operation. Right now I feel alright, which I am thankful for.
Last night we watched television and went to bed early. Now it is another day to prepare for the New Creation.
Today I will get in the mail a new book I recently ordered titled, "I Greet You at the Beginning of a Great Career: The Selected Correspondence of Lawrence Ferlinghetti & Allen Ginsberg" Edited by Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
