beneath it all, desire of oblivion runs

It is now in the time flow Eastern Standard Time 6:12 PM Friday evening. This evening I am chilling to music and visiting Africa. Carol went to work this evening for two hours. She will be home around 8 o'clock PM tonight.

I spent the day mainly wandering my cage and reading from these two books-

"Philip Larkin: A Writer's Life" biography by Andrew Motion

"The Complete Poems" Philip Larkin Edited By Archie Burnett

Not much went on today. Carol left this afternoon to visit family members and go to a grocery store. When she got home she had bought more children's toys at some garage sale. We have now a ton of baby toys scattered throughout the house. Our house has become a nursery since we started having grandchildren. At least Carol is having fun being a Grandma. When my wife is happy I am happy or least feel good somewhat. I do not believe in happiness.

I called our son Caleb this evening and told him I had decided I did not want to attend the Built to Spill concert this coming Sunday. It was cool with him.

Well, I will close to sweat and wait for music. Tomorrow I volunteer at the Herrick District Public Library used books store from 10 AM till 1 PM. Carol is having our carpets cleaned tomorrow morning. She is getting our shack ready for company. I am reminded of these Bible verses by the apostle Paul, "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" 2 Corinth. 5:1.
