the Spirit flew away from us on account of sin

It is in the flow of life here by Lake Michigan 11:26 AM late Thursday morning. The sun is still shining outside. I forgot to mention earlier that I have been basically reading these two books for morning devotions-

"We Believe in the Crucified and Risen Lord" Vol. 3 [Ancient Christian Doctrine] Edited By Mark J. Edwards

"Luke" New Testament III [Reformation Commentary On Scripture] Edited By Beth Kreitzer

I took down into the lower level the other day all my other Christian books. I am going to mainly focus on these two books for morning devotions. I have not come across any Christian books that turn me on lately. I do plan to order the end of this month volume 4 of the Ancient Christian Doctrine series titled, "We Believe in the Holy Spirit" edited by Joel C. Elowsky.

I read my Bible all the time. I am always living my life in the light of God's Word. Right now I am seeking just to abide in Christ. My Christian life is pretty simple. I basically live each day doing nothing. I am seeking to do the will of God inside this house in this middle-class neighborhood. I am living like most of our Christian neighbors.

I like to be out sowing the Gospel seed, but my calling in life is doing what I am doing each day as each day rolls along. It would be dumb to kick against the walls of my cage. In this cage is the loving presence of my heavenly Father to be experienced as the world around me goes insane. If you do not believe America has gone nuts just listen to Republican politicians on the nightly Fox News TV show.

Well, I will close to read and watch the birds.
