This afternoon I read some of the book, "We Believe in the Crucified and Risen Lord" Vol. 3 [Ancient Christian Doctrine] Edited By Mark J. Edwards. I did leave the house this afternoon to go downtown to get new shoes and a winter coat. I got new shoes, but there were no more winter coats for sale. It seems stores are now stocking Spring and Summer clothes. Carol did get me a nice winter coat online, but when it came in the mail and I tried it on it was too small so Carol had to send it back which cost her $15.00 dollars postage. I will get my old coat fixed and in the Fall I will buy myself a new winter coat.
After going downtown getting shoes and the way home I stopped at a thrift store to look at their used books. I found three used books to ADD to our library-
"The Bullfighter Checks Her Makeup" essays by Susan Orlean
"Fragrant Harbor" a novel by John Lanchester (I have another novel by Lanchester in my library titled, "Mr Phillips".)
"The Marne, 1914: The Opening Of World War I And The Battle That Changed The World" by Holger H. Herwig
When I got home I found Carol working on her Women's Bible Study on The Book of Job. Tonight Carol goes to her Women's Bible Study and I will stay here guarding the fort from the forces of darkness.
Well I will close to look for something to eat. There is no way of escape.
