there is an objective body of teaching that Christians are expected to confess as their faith

It is 6:07 PM Wednesday night. It is a cold night here in West Michigan. Carol left for her Strong Arm class at the hospital around 5:40 PM. I have been reading all evening from new Reformation Commentary On Scripture "Luke" NT III Edited By Beth Kreitzer. Earlier I remembered that last year I read for awhile another volume in the Reformation Commentary On Scripture on The Gospel of John "John 1-12" NT IV Edited By Craig S. Farmer. I seek to be always reading and studying some portion of the Bible as I drift through existence. I remember these words of the Apostle Paul, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God" Colossians 3:1-3.

Right now I am reading these volumes for morning devotions-

"We Believe in One God" Vol. 1 [Ancient Christian Doctrine] Edited By Gerald Bray

"We Believe in One Lord Jesus Christ" Vol. 2 [Ancient Christian Doctrine] Edited By John Anthony McGuckin

"Luke" New Testament III [Reformation Commentary On Scripture] Edited By Beth Kreitzer

"Language For God In Patristic Tradition: Wrestling With Biblical Anthropomorphism" by Mark Sheridan

"God Has Spoken: A History Of Christian Theology" by Gerald Bray

"Salvation Applied By The Spirit: Union with Christ" by Robert A. Peterson

"Commentary On Hebrews" [Biblical Theology For Christian Proclamation] by Thomas R. Schreiner

"Moral Reflections on the Book of Job" Volume 1 "Preface and Books 1-5" by Gregory the Great (Translated by Brian Kerns, OCSO)

There is nothing on TV worth watching tonight. One thing I have noticed lately is how much immorality is glorified on TV. People have no shame these days. It is sad to see actors on TV promoting wickedness. I can see sometimes why some Christians believe watching TV one is breaking all the Ten Commandments/Torah. I often feel spiritually unclean/disgust after watching television.

I will close to read and wait for tomorrow to come. It is going to snow tomorrow.
