Gregory the Great (c. 540-604)

It is 6:21 PM Thursday night here by Lake Michigan. I had another super quiet either reading or sitting in silence. I mainly read today from these books-

"Hidden But Now Revealed: A Biblical Theology of Mystery" by G.K. Beale & Benjamin L. Gladd

"God Has Spoken: A History of Christian Theology" by Bray Gerald

"Moral Reflections on the Book of Job" Volume 1 "Preface and Books 1-5" by Gregory the Great [Translated by Brian Kerns, OCSO]

Carol right now is catching up on her Bible reading in the living room. Still no sign of Caleb, Emily, and Josie. We do not know when they are going to show up tonight. Emily's kinfolk live in Lapeer Michigan, which is about three hours from us. All we can do is wait.

Not much else to report.

"For the act of never leaving the contemplation of God means, indeed, always growing in that contemplation; the heart that never forsakes him is in a state of constant movement toward him, always coming." Gregory the Great
