The Second Letter To The Corinthians

It is 10:26 AM Sunday morning. I came down here to the lower level to write, but now I am not sure what to write since I am really not in the mood to write. I thought about going for a walk someplace downtown this morning. I could stop at Reader's World Bookstore and pick up the new Dennis Johnson novel while downtown. But now I feel defeated. I should finish reading the novel "Shark" by Will Self before buying the new Dennis Johnson novel. I am sure this week I will find more books to read at thrift stores. I do not have any books coming in the mail till next year. This morning I have been reading my new commentary on Second Corinthians by Mark A. Seifrid. I have many commentaries on The Second Letter To The Corinthians in our library. I will list the commentaries I have on II Corinthians it is on my bald head/mind.

"The Second Epistle to the Corinthians" [The New International Greek Testament Commentary] by Murray J. Harris

"2 Corinthians" [The NIV Application Commentary] by Scott J. Hafemann

"The Second Epistle To The Corinthians" [The New International Commentary on the New Testament] by Paul Barnett

"Conflict & Community In Corinth: A Socio-Rhetorical Commentary on 1 and 2 Corinthians" by Ben Witherington III

"The Second Epistle To The Corinthians" [Harper's New Testament Commentaries] by C. K. Barrett

"An Exposition of the Second Epistle to the Corinthians" [Thornapple Commentaries] by Charles Hodge

"2 Corinthians" [Word Biblical Commentary] Volume 40 by Ralph P. Martin

"2 Corinthians: An Exegetical and Theological Exposition of Holy Scripture" by David E. Garland [The New American Commentary]

"2 Corinthians" [Tyndale New Testament Commentaries] by R. V. G. Tasker

"The Second Epistle To The Corinthians" [The New International Commentary On The New Testament] by Philip E. Hughes

"The Message Of 2 Corinthians" by Paul Barnett [The Bible Speaks Today]

I could list more commentaries in our library on Second Corinthians but the ones listed our worth checking out when you are reading or studying The Second Letter To The Corinthians. I also recommend this New Testament study on Second Corinthians-

"Paul, Moses, And The History Of Israel: The Letter/Spirit Contrast and the Argument from Scripture in 2 Corinthians 3" by Scott J. Hafemann.

Also check out these books on Second Corinthians-

"Suffering & Ministry in the Spirit: Paul's Defense of His Ministry in II Corinthians 2:14-3:3" by Scott J. Hafemann

"From Triumphalism to Maturity: An Exposition of 2 Corinthians 10-13" by Donald A. Carson

"Meaning And Truth In 2 Corinthians" by Francis Young & David F. Ford

Many years ago when I did my ministerial internship I taught an Adult Sunday School class on Second Corinthians. Ever since I taught that Sunday School class Second Corinthians has been one of my favorite Pauline epistles (along with Romans and Galatians).

It is going on 11:10 AM Sunday late morning. I will close to drift.
