Right now it is snowing outside. Finally winter has come to us in all its horror. Thank the Lord for a warm cave to hide in as the winter winds howl.

Right now it is 1:13 PM Friday afternoon in the ice flow. I am down in the lower level reading a book titled, "The Triumph of God: The Essence Of Paul's Thought" by J. Christiaan Beker.

This morning Carol and I went to a grocery store to buy a few food items. Once I did not buy myself any delicious food. I am living on celestial air these days. I never knew till lately how much food meant to me in my state of exile. I have come to realize I did enjoy eating food. Now I must learn to not enjoy eating food, but feeling empty. I do not like to eat raw food. I am not into eating nuts and apples all the time. I could never be a vegetarian.

I have been reading today from a book titled, "Hidden But Now Revealed: A Biblical Theology of Mystery" by G. K. Beale & Benjamin L. Gladd.

This afternoon Amazon delivered to our front door a book I had ordered last Summer titled, "Reading Backwards: Figural Christology and the Fourfold Gospel Witness" by Richard B. Hays. I have other books by Richard B. Hays in our library worth reading before the End of this present evil age-

"First Corinthians" [Interpretation: A Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching] by Richard B. Hays

"Echoes Of Scripture In The Letters Of Paul" by Richard B. Hays

"The Moral Vision of the New Testament: A Contemporary Introduction to New Testament Ethics" by Richard B. Hays

"The Faith of Jesus Christ: The Narrative Substructure of Galatians 3:1-4:11" by Richard B. Hays

"The Art of Reading Scripture" Edited by Ellen F. Davis & Richard B. Hays

I also have been reading lately a book titled, "Handbook on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament: Exegesis And Interpretation" by G. K. Beale.

Recently I have read these books that are good to have when studying and reading the Bible-

"The New Testament: A Historical and Theological Introduction" by Donald A. Hagner

"The King In His Beauty: A Biblical Theology of the Old and New Testaments" by Thomas R. Schreiner

"Kingdom through Covenant: A Biblical-Theological Understanding of the Covenants" by Peter J. Gentry & Stephen J. Wellum

"God Is Love: A Biblical And Systematic Theology" by Gerald Bray

Well I will close to drift and watch the snow fall. No way out.

"He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given" Matthew 13:11
