This afternoon when Beth got home with Lou from having lunch with a friend and her two kids Lou was wide awake. Beth wanted to keep Lou awake till at least 6 o'clock PM so what to do to keep her awake. I suggested we go for a drive visiting thrift stores. Carol had bought a baby car seat for Lou so Me, Beth and Lou left to visit thrift stores in search of used books. I found these used books to ADD to our library this afternoon.
"Perpetual War For Perpetual Peace: How We Got To Be So Hated" essays by Gore Vidal
"Highcastle: A Remembrance" A Memoir by Stanislaw Lem [Translated from the Polish by Michael Kandel]
"The King Must Die" a novel by Mary Renault
"Busy Monsters" A Novel by William Giraldi
"Inventing Paradise: The Greek Journey 1937-47" Memoir by Edmund Keeley
"Snowleg" a novel by Nicholas Shakespeare
Beth, Lou and I got back home around 5:20 PM and by that time Lou was screaming from being tired. Carol must of heard Lou crying and got up to spend sometime with her granddaughter.
So existence keeps speeding by. I mainly read this afternoon, "Lost in the Forest" a novel by Sue Miller.
Well I will close to see what everyone is up to upstairs. I am down in the lower level writing on my old lap top computer. Tomorrow is a Wednesday.
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences" 2 Corinth 5:10,11.
