My wife left for work about eight minutes ago. She is off tomorrow night. Sunday she goes to a baby shower for Emily our daughter-in-law located in the eastern part of the state of Michigan.
I had a very quiet day drinking coffee and reading my books. I fell asleep a couple of times while reading or just sitting pondering what I had been reading. But I did not give into the temptation to take a nap. I came going in spite of feeling drained.
I read mainly from these two books today, "Working The Room" Essays by Geoff Dyer and "The Complete Works Of Isaac Babel".
In received in the mail a book I had ordered titled, "Travels With Herodotus" by Ryszard Kapuscinski. I have started collecting the writings of Kapuscinski. I now have four books by this renowned journalist.
"Travels With Herodotus" by Ryszard Kapuscinski
"The Emperor" by Ryszard Kapuscinski
"Shah Of Shahs" by Ryszard Kapuscinski
"The Shadow Of The Sun" by Ryszard Kapuscinski (In the book "Working The Room" Dyer has a review of this book by Kapuscinski.)
Well, I suppose I will close to read and wait to go to bed. I have nothing pressing on my mind this evening. Josiah did get that summer job packing raspberries.
