  • Mood:

to the end of the earth

It is 4:18 PM Monday early evening here by Lake Michigan. We should drive out to Lake Michigan Carol and I since she is now off from work for a couple of days. Maybe tomorrow we will take a drive out to Lake Michigan. Get lunch somewhere before driving home. Also stop at some thrift stores to look for used books to add to our Book Collection.

I am down in the lower level writing on my newest lap top computer. I stopped using my old lap top computer because it was always running slow. Also I should use my newest lap top computer since I paid over a thousand dollars for it last May.

Carol got up a little while ago and is reading a mystery at our dining room table.

I have been mainly reading this afternoon from a book titled, "Life In The Face Of Death" The Resurrection Message of the New Testament" edited by Richard N. Longenecker. In this book I have been reading Chapter 10 an essay by Joel B. Green titled,""Witnesses of His Resurrection": Resurrection, Salvation, Discipleship, and Mission in the Acts of the Apostles.'

Besides reading the above book I did some yard work, ate food, and watched chipmunks under our bird feeder. Today I ordered a chipmunk trap from Amazon. We have too many chipmunks right now. I think I have counted around eight or nine chipmunks around our house this Spring. This morning I was woke up by the calls of chipmunks.

I nothing to do tonight but wait for tomorrow to come.

In mentioning the New Testament scholar Joel B. Green I ought to mention I have several books by him in my library. Green is an interesting New Testament scholar. I have these books by Joel B. Green in our library.

"Recovering The Scandal Of The Cross: Atonement in New Testament & Contemporary Contexts" by Joel B. Green & Mark D. Baker

"Dictionary Of Jesus And The Gospels" Editors Joel B. Green, Scot McKnight, I. Howard Marshall

"The Death of Jesus: Tradition and Interpretation in the Passion Narrative" by Joel B. Green

"The Gospel of Luke" [The New International Commentary On The New Testament] by Joel B. Green

"The Theology Of The Gospel Of Luke" by Joel B. Green [New Testament Theology]

"Jesus of Nazareth Lord and Christ: Essays on the Historical Jesus and New Testament Christology" Edited by Joel B. Green & Max Turner

"Introducing The New Testament: It's Literature and Theology" by Paul J. Achtemeier, Joel B. Green, & Marianne Meye Thompson

"Between Two Horizons: Spanning New Testament Studies & Systematic Theology" Edited By Joel B. Green & Max Turner

I might have more books by Joel B. Green in my library, but these are ones visible to me at the moment. I am not in the mood to go digging through my library.

Well I will close to wait for tomorrow to come.
