to proclaim the pure gospel of Christ by the Spirit's inspiration
7th-Mar-2014 12:41 pm
It is 12:29 PM Friday afternoon. I left our house around 9:55 AM to visit thrift stores to search for used books to ADD to our library. I found these used books this morning.

"Practical Magic" a novel by Alice Hoffman

"Utopian: The Life and Thought of Simone Weil" intellectual biography by David McLellan

"Skerrett" a novel by Liam O'Flaherty

"Like Trees Walking" a novel by Ravi Howard

"From Heaven Lake: Travels through Sinkiang and Tibet" travel memoir by Vikram Seth

"Documentary Expression And Thirties America" by William Stott

"Freedom Loyalty Dissent" essays by Henry Steele Commager

"Great Short Works Of Fyodor Dostoevsky"

"South Of The Big Four" a novel by Don Kurtz

I was home from my wanderings around 11:35 AM. I ate lunch and wrote in my paper diary. No sign of my wife yet. She works tonight so she needs to sleep this afternoon. Well I will close to drift.

"the primary role of the preacher is to proclaim the pure gospel of Christ by the Spirit's inspiration"

"[1] I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
[2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
[3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." Second Timothy 4:1-4
