I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. My wife was already up when I got up. I have had a typical morning. I wrote in my paper diary and fed our birds. I messed with our main computer and ate breakfast. I got out these two books to look at this morning.
"Reading Scripture With The Reformers" by Timothy George
"Acts" New Testament VI Reformation Commentary On Scripture Edited By Esther Chung-Kim & Todd R. Hains
Last night I watched television and went to bed around 11 o'clock PM. I do not know when my wife came to bed.
So it is another day. I plan to do nothing today. Carol is trying to get something going. My wife does not like to sit around and just be. I am not into doing anything. I am waiting it out.
There is nothing pressing on my mind this morning. Well I suppose I will close to drift. Yesterday I mainly read "Reading Scripture With The Reformers" by Timothy George and "Acts" New Testament VI Reformation Commentary On Scripture. I can't recall right now if I read anything else yesterday. I do remember looking at a lot of books in my library but not reading them. I did not go anywhere yesterday. Well I will close to wait it out.
" Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed." 1 Peter 2:1-8
