Psalms 1

[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
[5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
[6] For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

the people of God are in a transcendent blessedness by reason of the mediatory intercession

It is 5:13 PM Friday early evening here in West Michigan. We have been watching college football all afternoon. One of those days where you just watch football and wait for another day to appear. Tomorrow it will be another day of college football and then Sunday will be a day of watching professional football.

I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. Carol had gotten up around 4 o'clock AM. When I got up I got myself a glass of cold water and sat in my living chair to wake up. I am thankful I can wake up with a roof over our heads. After I woke up I made a fresh pot of coffee and then wrote in my paper diary. Carol left around 7:45 AM to get a shingles shot and while she was gone I filmed a video for my Youtube channel.

This morning I read till Noontime from Anthony Burgess's Sermons on John Chapter 17. While watching football today I have been reading off and on, 'The Children of Light' a novel by Robert Stone.

We did babysit Josie and Cora for a couple of hours this afternoon while Caleb and Emily took a walk in the woods.

Well there is nothing else to report so I will go back to watching college football.

"[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
[24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
[25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

[26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
[28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore." Hebrews 7:22-28
