the Life of Christ

It is 12:51 PM Thursday afternoon here in West Michigan. Today the sun is shining and it is warm. It is also very windy. I am thankful it has not snowed yet. Last year at this time there was snow on the ground.

I got up this morning around 5:05 AM. I was up so early because last night I went to bed around 9 o'clock PM. So I got up and made a fresh pot of coffee. After making coffee and messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and read from Anthony Burgess' book of sermons on Chapter 17 of The Gospel of John titled, 'Christ's Prayer Before His Passion-Expository Sermons on John 17' Volume 1 .

I left the house this morning around 10:30 AM to take a walk at VanRaalte Farm County Park. While I walked around the park I took pictures. On the way home after my walk I stopped at a thrift store to look at their used books. I found these used books to ADD to our library-

'Hotel De Dream' A New York Novel by Edmund White

'The Life Of John Calvin' biography by W. J. Grier

'JFK and LBJ: The Influence of Personality upon Politics' by Tom Wicker

'Learning to Pray Through the Psalms' by James W. Sire

'Sons in the Son: The Riches and Reach of Adoption in Christ' by David B. Garner

'Capitalism, Socialism, and Democracy' by Joseph A. Schumpeter (We have in our library this book, 'Prophet of Innovation: Joseph Schumpeter and Creative Destruction' by Thomas McCraw)

'Endless Love' a novel by Scott Spencer

'Jesus the Messiah: A Survey Of The Life Of Christ' by Robert H. Stein

When I got home from my walk and from visiting a thrift store it was 12:05 PM. So existence keeps decaying. Not much else to report so I will close to eat lunch and wait to see what comes in the mail. I will also down load the pictures I took on my walk this morning. This evening our oldest son Caleb and his family are coming over for dinner. Tomorrow is a Friday in the ongoing death flow.
