James Fenimore Cooper

It is 4:14 PM Friday late afternoon. There is sunshine this evening. I wonder how long the sun will shine?

I have had a normal day thus far. There is nothing new to report this evening. Carol called me around 3 o'clock PM from out West. I volunteered at the Book Nook today. I got home from the Book Nook around 1:20 PM and ate lunch. Time goes by.

I will close to drift through the evening hours. I plan to lay low tonight since I am tired.

I plan to do nothing tonight. There is nothing on television worth watching. I basically stopped watching television several years ago. Today at the Book Nook I could hardly stay ahead. When I was awake I read some more of the novel ‘The Dreamed Part’ by Rodrigo Fresan. I brought home from the Book Nook several used books. I am too tired this evening to list all the used books I bought home.

I will close since I am falling asleep.

I suppose I should be polite and list the used books I hauled home today from the Book Nook. I am a lover of books. Books keep me company in my cell.

Have a Nice Life - Dracula Bells

And, in a darkened room, where I always spoke too soon, I burn an endless stare at nothings that just aren’t there. If I can convince myself that any of this helps, I can sink deeper in...but call it something else. And, in that darkened room, I trusted my own eyes...despite all evidence life’s provided otherwise. You’re going to wait a long time. And in that darkened room, there is evidence for god...but he’s not like I thought, and I’m always on my guard. You know I could never wait, so just tell it to me straight. We’re going to wait a long time...but there’s power in prayer. There’s smoke in the rafters. Lord and lover, saint and swain. There’s ash in the air. We’re going to wait a long time, but I’m willing to wait. Oh, let me find the right one! Someone to love, someone to hate. We’re going to wait a long time...so, find love while you’re young. That way, when it’s over? You’ve barely begun. Oh, my god is a god of ironies. Microaggressions and very long lines. Slight tilts, and unrealities...and everything bad takes a very, very long time.
