abolishing the line between art and life
It is 2:36 PM Friday afternoon here in West Michigan. It has been a sunny cloudy day. I am still thankful it has not snowed. Next week we are predicted to receive light snow fall, nothing heavy. I hope it does not snow heavily at all this Winter season. As I type these words I can feel myself falling asleep so I better get on paper what needs to be said.
I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM. Carol was already up baking a cake and making peanut brittle. I made for my wife and I pot of oatmeal for breakfast. After eating my oatmeal I messed with our main computer and then wrote in my paper diary.
I left for the library used books store The Book Nook around 9:36 AM and was home from the Book Nook around 1:05 PM. At the Book Nook I wandered the store, helped people with their purchases and read from these books-
'The Art of Cruelty: A Reckoning' non-fiction by Maggie Nelson
'A Thousand Days: John F. Kennedy In The White House' biography/American History by Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr.
'Schlesinger: The Imperial Historian' biography by Richard Aldous
At the Book Nook I got these two books to add to our library-
'The Labrador Pact' a novel by Matt Haig
'Love, Poverty, And War: Journeys And Essays' by Christopher Hitchens
I could write more but I am dead tired. Carol is sleeping because she goes back to work tonight. She works the next three nights. Our lives are zooming by full speed. No way off the merry-go-round.
