Black Holes

It is in the flow of existence 7:36 AM Sunday morning. It is gray and warm outside this morning. I got up this morning around 7 o'clock AM because I did not have any solid reason to stay in bed. I got up warmed up coffee made yesterday and came here to our main computer to read stuff. My wife is still sleeping. On May 19th Carol and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Where has the Time gone? It seems Carol and I have been together only a very short period of time. Life is short. When one looks at life in the light of eternity, it is but a blink of an eye. Our life here on earth is only for the purpose of preparing for the life to come. How we live now determines where we will spend eternity.

Yesterday is a blur to me. I remember volunteering at the Herrick District Public Library used books store from 10 o'clock AM till 1 PM. At the book nook when not helping people with their used materials I read from a book titled, "Lovers At The Chameleon Club, Paris 1932" a novel by Francine Prose. I brought home from the book nook one used novel titled, "Sweet Thunder" by Ivan Doig.

I got home the same time Carol, Emily, and Josie got home from the Holland Farmer's Market. My friend Tim also arrived the same time we did on his bike to have lunch with us.

We ate lunch and talked. Tim left around 2:45 PM for his place to take a nap. I did nothing the rest of the day. When Josie got up from a nap Carol, Emily, and Josie went out to Lake Michigan. I laid down in the lower level for a nap.

Emily and Josie left for GR around 5:30 PM. Carol and had a normal evening. We watched some television and went to bed early.

So it is a new week. We are coming to the end of another month. Well I will close to drift through another day.

do angels have brains?

It is 5:11 PM Sunday evening in the flow of energy being sucked into a colossal black hole. What is inside a Black Hole? What is out there in Outer Space? Are there other planets with intelligent life on them? What is intelligent life? Do the Angels have human brains?

I have had a normal day. The day has passed by swiftly and quietly. I did not go any where today. I do not think I did anything but write in my diary, listen to music and read my books. Carol went to church this morning and has been sleeping this afternoon, because she works tonight. It is a new week. I have a dentist appointment this week. I get my teeth cleaned Thursday morning. When I was growing up no one ever took me to see a dentist. The first time I saw a tooth brush was when I moved into my first foster family back in 1968. I never really saw a dentist till I married Carol. Now every six months I visit a dentist to have my teeth cleaned and checked for decay. I am thankful for dental insurance. I am thankful for teeth.

After going to the dentist Thursday Carol and I plan to drive over to Grand Rapids to have lunch at Rose's and then visit Meijer Gardens. I am sure we will also visit book stores while in Grand Rapids.

I have no plans for the evening hours tonight. I might watch television and go to bed my usual time. Before I can count to ten tomorrow will be here.

Well, I suppose I will close to drift. I need to think about what to eat for supper.

I have mainly read today when not lost daydreams, "Paul's Divine Christology" by Chris Tilling.

"[19] For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
[20] Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
[21] For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
[22] For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
[23] But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
[24] But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
[25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[26] For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
[27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
[28] And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
[29] That no flesh should glory in his presence.
[30] But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
[31] That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." First Corinthians 1:19-31

I Saw The Cross of Jesus

I saw the cross of Jesus, when burdened with my sin,
I sought the cross of Jesus, to give me peace within;
I brought my soul to Jesus, He cleansed it in His blood;
And in the cross of Jesus I found my peace with God.

I love the cross of Jesus, it tells me what I am—
A vile and guilty creature, saved only through the Lamb;
No righteousness, nor merit, no beauty I can plead;
Yet in the cross of glory, my title there I read.

I clasp the cross of Jesus in every trying hour,
My sure and certain refuge, my never failing tower;
In every fear and conflict, I more than conqueror am;
Living I’m safe, or dying, thro’ Christ, the risen Lamb.

Sweet is the cross of Jesus! There let my weary heart
Still rest in peace unshaken, till with Him, ne’er to part;
And then in strains of glory I’ll sing His wondrous power,
Where sin can never enter, and death is known no more.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" 1 Corinth. 1:18

sweater jacket bought on Telegraph Ave. 1969 Berkeley Calif.

This evening I was down in the lower level look for a book, "The New Jim Crow" by Michele Alexander and came across some of my old clothes from my High School years. I am a pack rat. I tend to keep certain things/objects/clothes/books/diaries to remind me of my Past. I remember buying this wool sweater coat on Telegraph Ave. Berkeley Calif. when I was in the 12th Grade 1969. I was in Berkeley with my girlfriend Debbie wandering Telegraph Ave digging the scene. Debbie and I often went to Berkeley to sit in cafe's drinking tea and watching the freaks. I remember the day I bought this sweater coat Debbie spilled hot chocolate on it. Over the years my first foster mother knitted new sleeves on it and one old girlfriend sewed new buttons on it. It is too warm to wear here in West Michigan. Also I no longer fit into this sweater coat. Where have the years gone?
