God allowed Satan to work in the world

It is 8:58 AM Thursday morning in the flow of time. Outside this morning it is very cold and gray. Yesterday we had a mixture of hail and snow fall on us. It is weird seeing small rocks of ice and snow come down from the gray angry sky.

So here I sit once again in front of our main computer writing down words. I am still sick from a Spring cold. Slowly we are getting back to a state of health. I am an old man and must not take lightly any kind of sickness. A cold could bring me to an early grave.

I got up this morning around 7:15 AM. I got up made a pot of coffee and also made a bowl of oatmeal. I ate my oatmeal surfing the web. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then got out my Reformation commentary on the Gospel of Luke to read for morning devotions. Now I am writing here some words.

Carol is not home from work, because she had a meeting to attend after work. She is off the next couple nights from work. Tomorrow Emily and Josie are coming over from GR for a visit. Carol, Emily and Josie plan to take a long walk someplace.

I have no plans for the day ahead of me. I am seeking to get over this cold.

Last night I watched a little television and went to bed early. Yesterday I mainly read, "A Legacy" a novel by Sybille Bedford.

I will close to drift through this cold dismal day. There is no way out.

It is in the flow of existence 4:56 PM Thursday evening or late afternoon.

I have had thus far a normal day. The sun came out this afternoon, so that was a blessing. Because the sun came out I decided to go for a walk at VanRaalte County Park near where we live. It takes me only a few minutes to drive to VanRaalte Farm. I have been walking at this county park going on 23 years.

When I got home from my walk I cooked hamburgers and then sat in our dining room reading a book titled, "Philip Larkin: A Writer's Life" biography by Andrew Motion.

This morning I did visit a near by thrift store and found two used books to add to our library-

"Deadline: A Memoir" by James Reston

"Albert Einstein: Creator and Rebel" biography by Banesh Hoffmann

In the mail I received these items today-

Tribulation 'The Children of the Night' CD

"To Keep the Ball Rolling: The Memoirs Of Anthony Powell" With A Foreword By Ferdinand Mount

"Paul's Divine Christology" by Chris Tilling (Foreword by Douglas A. Campbell)

Carol is right now in the living room skyping Beth our daughter and baby Louisa. Louisa is now a year and four months old. Beth thinks maybe the new baby could come in August instead of September.

I have no plans for the evening hours. Carol goes tonight to a Woman's Bible Study on the Book of Job. Tomorrow our daughter-in-law Emily and our other granddaughter Josie Joy are going to visit us. Carol, Emily, and Josie plan to go downtown for a long walk.

Well I will close to go into the evening hours. Tomorrow will soon be here
