life is no picnic

It is 7:54 AM Saturday morning in the ice flow. It is 18 degrees outside and dark. In 27 days from now it will be the first day of Spring 2015. The Lord is faithful. It must be frightening to wake up each day thinking one lives in a godless universe.

I got up this morning around 6:34 AM. I made myself a pot of coffee and then messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I fried myself two eggs for a morning meal. After breakfast I wrote in my paper diary. Now I am writing in my blogs.

This morning I volunteer at the Herrick Public Library used books store from 10 AM till 1 PM.

Last night I read and watched television/Amazon Prime and went to bed around 10:05 PM. Now it is another day. I got out these books to read this morning if I can stay awake-

"We Believe in One Lord Jesus Christ" Vol. 2 [Ancient Christian Doctrine] Edited By John Anthony McGuckin

"Luke" New Testament III [Reformation Commentary On Scripture] Edited By Beth Kreitzer

Last night before watching TV I read from these two books-

"The Deluge: The Great War, America And The Remaking Of The Global Order, 1916-1931" by Adam Tooze

"The Modern Mind: An Intellectual History of the 20th Century" by Peter Watson

Well I suppose it is time to shove off and face what comes next. I am tired.

It is 1:48 PM Saturday afternoon in the ice snow flow. I am home from volunteering at the Herrick Public Library used books store from 10 AM till 1 PM. The library book nook was slow so I wandered the store and read from a book I found at the book nook today to add to our library titled, "Thinking The Twentieth Century" by Tony Judt with Timothy Snyder. I had brought to read but didn't a book titled, "Savage Peace: Hope And Fear In America 1919" by Ann Hagedorn.

I brought home today these used books from the book nook to ADD to our library-

"Thinking The Twentieth Century" by Tony Judt with Timothy Snyder (I have been reading a couple of books by Judt lately. I have in our library a book by Timothy Snyder titled, "The Red Prince: The Secret Lives Of A Habsburg Archduke".)

"Sweet Tooth" a novel by Ian McEwan

"HHhH" a novel by Laurent Binet (Translated From The French By Sam Taylor)

"Foreign Bodies" a novel by Cynthia Ozick (I collect the writings of Ozick.)

"Queen Of America" a novel by Luis Alberto Urrea (In our library I have two other book by Urrea, "The Devil's Highway: A True Story" and "The Hummingbird's Daughter".)

When I got home I ate lunch and then wrote in my paper diary. No much else to report. Carol called this morning and after she gets home this evening we are going to go to a grocery store. Carol's plane ought to be landing in Grand Rapids MI around 3:30 PM this afternoon.

This morning while volunteering at the Herrick Public Library used books store I took some pictures of myself. I am going bald. I have to keep reminding myself I am going on 63 years old and I am not suppose to have a full head of hair. I am no longer a young man. My days are numbered. Will we have hair in the New Creation/the world to come?

Carol called me a few minutes ago from the Grand Rapids Airport. She said she would be home and hour. I am trying not to fall asleep so I put on some loud music and have been eating peanuts. Existence keeps decaying. I am decaying.
