Louisa Mae & Josephine

Here is recent photo of our granddaughter Louisa Mae. She is getting big and is all smiles. Right now she has an ear infection and is not on top of the world.

Our second granddaughter Josephine Joy is doing fine.

mystical passivity in refusing the entrepreneurial

It is 8:21 AM Monday morning in the flow of life. Outside this morning it is cloudy. Do not know if we will see sunshine today. Most of the trees are now bare and soon we will see snow.

I got up this morning around 6:15 AM. I should have stayed in bed this morning because if I sit still I immediately fall asleep. So I got up made coffee and ate breakfast. After breakfast I messed with our main computer and then wrote in my paper diary. Carol is sleeping in this morning. This afternoon she has to go to the hospital for some class/skills fair?

I have nothing to do today but drift. Yesterday I basically read all day the novel, "Laura Warholic or, The Sexual Intellectual" by Alexander Theroux (this novel is 800 pages long and I am on page 229).

Our son Josiah called yesterday and evening we talked to him for over two hours. We then skyped our daughter Beth and Louisa our granddaughter.

During the evening hours we watched television. Carol went to bed before I did. I went to bed around 11:15 PM and now it is another day of my life.

Well not much else to report. Existence keeps zooming by. We are in the last week of October 2014. Next Saturday will be November 1, 2014. No way out.

the difficulty of curing the scruplous

It is 4:06 PM Monday evening in the flow of life. It was a quiet day for my wife and I. I basically read and wandered the house today. I also helped my wife do some yard work this afternoon. It is that time of year to cut down the dead plants and rake leaves.

I mainly read today a novel titled, "Laura Warholic or, The Sexual Intellectual" by Alexander Theroux. I also looked at a book that Theroux mentioned in an interview that I have in our book collection titled, "Dostoersky and Romantic Realism: A Study Of Dostoersky In Relation to Balzac, Dickens, And Gogol" by Donald Fanger.

I did visit two thrift stores this morning and found these two used books to add to our library-

"The New England Conscience" by Austin Warren

The MacArthur Study Bible

I got this MacArthur Study Bible to either keep or give away. We have these Study Bibles in our home presently-

My wife uses these two Study Bibles most of the time, "Spirit of The Reformation Study Bible" and "The Reformation Study Bible".

I have by our main computer the "New Geneva Study Bible" Bringing the Light of the Reformation to Scripture New King James Version.

We have coming any day a new Study Bible being published by Reformed Heritage Publishers titled, "The Reformation Heritage King James Version Study Bible".

I have in our library these other Study Bibles-

"Revised And Expanded Nave's Study Bible" King James Version (A Calvinistic Study Bible)

"The New Open Bible" NKJ Version

"Master Study Bible" New American translation

"The New International Version Study Bible" (I used this Study Bible when we were at Reformed Theological Seminary Jackson Miss.)

"Nave's Study Bible" (used this Bible when I lived in California)

"The New Scofield Reference Bible" (a Bible used by most evangelical Baptists)

Scofield Reference Bible

So the day has gone by. Nothing hair raising came in the mail today. All in all it was a peaceful day. Existence keeps speeding by.

How shall the young direct their way?

Original Trinity Hymnal, #264
Psalm 119:9-16

How shall the young direct their way?
What light shall be their perfect guide?
Thy Word, O Lord, will safely lead,
If in its wisdom they confide.
Sincerely I have sought thee, Lord,
O let me not from thee depart;
To know thy will and keep from sin
Thy Word I cherish in my heart.

O blessed Lord, teach me thy law,
Thy righteous judgments I declare;
Thy testimonies make me glad,
For they are wealth beyond compare.
Upon thy precepts and thy ways
My heart will meditate with awe;
Thy Word shall be my chief delight,
And I will not forget thy law.

"[9] Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
[10] With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
[11] Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
[12] Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
[13] With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
[14] I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
[15] I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
[16] I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word." Psalm 119:9-16
