a tranquil spirit's more deeply hidden eye

It is 8:48 AM Thursday morning in the flow. Life is zooming by. Our lives will soon be over and then the day of judgment. I remember these words of the apostle Paul, "But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth" 2 Thess. 2:13.

I plan to leave for the library book nook around 9:45 AM this morning. I have to keep reminding myself it is a Thursday and not a Saturday. I usually volunteer at the library used books store on Saturdays not Thursdays. This morning I am covering for someone at the book nook. Right now I am not sure what I will take with me to read at the book nook. This morning I have been reading my Reformation commentary on the Gospel of John chapters 1 through 12.

Carol is not home yet from work. She is off the next four nights from work. My wife would love to retire right now, but can't.

Not much else to report. It looks like it is going to be another sunny day. I should mow our lawn soon.

This afternoon as I was leaving the library to come home a hawk flew by and landed on a fence near me. I took this picture of this hawk from my van window.

It is now in the flow of energy or life force 5:26 PM Thursday evening. Carol just left to walk Rudy around the neighborhood. I am taking a short visit to Africa this evening.

When I got home from volunteering at the Herrick Public Library used books store I ate lunch and then mowed our lawn.

So the day has gone by. Not much else to report. Nothing came in the mail to set my spirit free.

I brought home from the book nook one used book to add to our library titled, "Venice Lion City: The Religion Of Empire" by Garry Wills. At the book nook when not helping people I read articles in a The New Yorker magazine and read "The Heartsong of Charging Elk" a novel by James Welch.

When I got home from the book nook I ate lunch and then mowed the lawn. After killing myself doing yard work I cleaned up and wrote in my paper diary.

I no plans for the evening hours. We might continue watching the PBS documentary on the Roosevelt's.

Tomorrow is a Friday. Carol talked about us taking a long walk Hemlock Crossing county park tomorrow without the dog. I will wait and see what develops. Life is full of mystery.
