swamped by love

It is Monday morning here where we live out our lives. I was not born here but somewhere else. I often wonder where my people will bury my remains. I do not have a hometown graveyard.

I have not done much since getting out of bed this morning. I remember making a pot of coffee this morning. I messed with our main computer and then I ate breakfast. My wife got up soon after I did to start her day. Today we celebrate Carol and I being married 35 years. Those 35 years flew by so quickly.

Last night I read "Updike" a biography by Adam Begley and watched television. I went to bed around 11 o'clock PM. Now it is 9:21 AM Monday morning. I have nothing to do today but rest.

Well I suppose I will close to drink water.

I'm a child of the King

This morning an old gospel hymn has been playing inside my head titled, "I'm a child of the King". I am not the president of the United States of America, but I a child of the King of Glory the Lord Jesus Christ.

My Father is rich in houses and lands,
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,
His coffers are full, He has riches untold.

Refrain

I’m a child of the King,
A child of the King:
With Jesus my Savior,
I’m a child of the King.

My Father’s own Son, the Savior of men,
Once wandered on earth as the poorest of them;
But now He is pleading our pardon on high,
That we may be His when He comes by and by.

Refrain

I once was an outcast stranger on earth,
A sinner by choice, an alien by birth,
But I’ve been adopted, my name’s written down,
An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown.

Refrain

A tent or a cottage, why should I care?
They’re building a palace for me over there;
Though exiled from home, yet still may I sing:
All glory to God, I’m a child of the King.

Refrain

"Tom Bedlam" A Novel by George Hagen (I recently bought used another novel written by Hagen titled, "The Laments".)

After we walked Rudy this morning we went and bought a bird bath and went out for lunch. After lunch we visit a thrift store and came home. I am extremely tired this afternoon. Hopefully as time goes by I will begin to feel like a new creation in Christ Jesus.
