a divine embrace of affection

It is 9:01 AM Monday morning here by the lake of ice. I have been up since 5:50 AM this morning. I got up this morning because I was having head pounding dreams and the left side of my body was in pain. Carol and I got up the same time this morning. She left around 8 o'clock AM this morning to have breakfast with a friend. I have been wandering the house this morning. I went outside and knocked down giant ice icicles around the back of our house. This coming Wednesday we hired a roofing company to come and shovel snow and ice off our roof. It is suppose to get warm this week and melt some of the ice and snow.

So here I sit seeking to wake up to another day of my life.

Last night I read "The Spiritual Espousals" by John Ruusbroec and watched television with my wife. I went to bed around 11 o'clock PM and read till I got sleepy from a book titled, "The Art of Prayer: An Orthodox Anthology" compiled by Igumen Chariton of Valamo.

Like I said I have nothing going on today. It is too cold and snowy to go anywhere. Well I will close to read and watch the birds.

It is 4:58 PM Monday evening. Outside this evening is a snow storm. We are suppose to get five inches of snow tonight. I hope the fellow who plows our driveway comes before morning light. I hate to have shovel our driveway in the morning.

I had another super quiet day. Carol was home this morning around 9:12 AM from having breakfast with friends.

I did not do anything all day but read my books. I did take a nap this afternoon. Carol has been sleeping all afternoon. Existence keeps speeding by.

I started reading today a novel titled, "Hopeful Monsters" by Nicholas Mosley.

Well I suppose I will close to drift through the evening hours. There is no way of escape.
